Regarding The Recent Racial Crap On RSBANDB

This is regarding a thread that was recently posted in the RSBANDB Forum sandbox. Now, very much like all the threads in the sandbox nobody replied seriously. But still a number of American posters insisted on going on a rampage, accusing several members of the staff, including myself, of being racist towards America. Now I was hoping that the thread would not have been pruned by now, as I was hoping to screenshot/link to it for use as evidence of this post. But anyways, Why these people got so aggravated, I have no idea.

It’s not as if we were genuinely insulting with the intent to cause harm or distress, that was blatantly obvious. It seems to me like people need to learn the difference between “racism” and just expressing an opinion. One can think that George Bush is stupid, without being accused of being racist. Sure if we said “George Bush is stupid because he’s an American” that would be more likely to be construed as racism. But just because somebody chooses to insult someone or something, that happens to be affiliated with a certain country or religion or whatever. That does not make them a racist.

  1. Racist? If America ever spawns a race, I’ll be afraid. I think the word “prejudice” is more accurate, but I agree. I’m still, however, crushed that Steven Hawking’s little computer voice is American. Totally crushed.

  2. So Brad you wonder why we think you are racist? Check out Mushroom Queens post above. Oh, and she happens to be a mod too…hmmm…

Also, you can go down and read you post on why some backwards hick from Idaho that happpened to get some air time on the news represents the 300 million people that live in America.

Seems to me like you get more illogical everyday. Stopping ripping on things and get a grip.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh.

By what measure of logic are you calling me illogical? By how do you define logic? By your own means and beliefs? So just because you believe something or think something it makes it logical? I’m afraid your argument is deeply flawed and your perception of logic seems to be severely skewed.
