Anarchy In The UK?

Ok.. so I guess its not strictly anarchy, had to say that before one of you smart ass, know nothing assholes 12 year olds corrected me. (Not that I’m implying all 12 year olds are like that, I like most of you)

Ok, fuck. I’ve gone majorly off topic already.

Anyway, the recent terrorist attacks in the UK… or.. attempts at attacks. If you didn’t know, there have been two attempted attacks in the UK in the past few days. The first, was a car outside a nightclub in London, that was found to contain many gas cylinders, nails, and a remotely activated explosive device. Had the bomb been detonated it would have ‘killed or seriously maimed anyone in a 100 meter radius’ (Said in yesterdays (by yesterday I mean.. last Saturday, I wrote most of this earier this week) ‘Independent’)

And a slightly different incident occurred at Glasgow airport this morning. Where a flaming 4X4 was rammed by two men in to the front entrance to the departures lounge. Where over one hundred people were sitting, apparently a great quantity of nails were also found in this car, and it was obvious they were attempting to detonate it. One of the men even got out of the car and began to throw more petrol on it when they could not get it to go any further. Luckily, nobody was killed, and to my knowledge, even had any mentionable injury. And the police have the two men.

Now, this was obviously timed to coincide with the appointment of Gordon Brown as prime minister. There has also been an interesting revelation today in the British media, it appears that a number of men who were arrested due to involvement in the plot, are doctors, who were working on the NHS. Now personally, I thought that if any doctors were going to try and launch terrorist attacks on the UK, they would have much more effective ways to do so, I mean, they moderate our health? And in the past doctors such as Shipman, have killed many people before being detected. Obviously a few stealth killings here and there don’t ‘terrify’ the nation quite on the level that crashing a burning car in to an airplane terminal does, but you see my point.

So what can we do now? Airplanes, we can moderate. We can search who gets on and off a plane. We can’t do that to cars. We can’t stop people puttings bombs in their cars. So what are we to do? Anyone who felt like it is easily capable of pouring petrol over their car interior and driving it in to a public area and blowing themselves up. What can we do? Nothing. We want to keep personal freedoms, and liberty, but we also want to be safe. Seems to me, that now, we can’t have both.

  1. Yeah, It kind of sucks when you think about it. I can just imagine someone walking down the street, then..BOOM! Then they think..”Ow, that really hurt…” - cause it really would, Getting nails embedded in you and stuff.

But, there is a solution that will help.

In front of the main gates to every important place, there could be a police check station, checking everything that goes in and comes out of that place. Yes, this will cost a shit load of money, But is it worth the lives of millions? I think so…

  2. tl;dr

  3. What’s the point of posting if you didn’t read it?..

A simpler way of getting what you want would be to say; Bradmin, stop writing so much!

  4. Let me get this straight… explosion with petrol. Explosion with gas canisters.

Petrol doesnt explode! It burns. Fast. But it *doesnt* explode. Gas doesnt explode either, unless you have a room full of it - in a canister, though, no chance. Those nails would not have moved an inch.

You’d think as doctors they’d have a scrap of intelligence in their heads. The previous foiled bombings of the underground, with flour and Hydrogen Peroxide, would have exploded. But petrol?!

Terrorists are obviously idiots in more ways than one. Firstly because they’ve been brainwashed and indoctrinated. Second because they cant even make a bomb successfully.

    Gah.

  5. I wish I could edit comments:

Ok, the canister might have exploded, but I would still doubt the nails would get anywhere.
