I typed this up yesterday but I wanted to milk my post about Crysala as much as I could, if you haven’t, scroll down and read it.

Ladies and Gentlemen! The Zybez podcast is finally upon us! 4 months after first announcing their plans, they have finally pulled their heads out of their asses and done something. So 3 months in production? This is going to be some sweet podcast right? Lots of interesting guests, charasmatic hosts, interesting discussion.. right? I mean this has taken so long for you to do, it has to be of high quality? Right?

Wrong.

It’s 3:17 long. No.. not hours.. minutes. 4 months in production and you turn out a 3 and a half minute podcast? It wasn’t even billed as a trailer and it certainly didn’t sound like one. It didn’t sound like anything really, but I’ll get on to that in a while. But anyway, they edited their first post with the words

… So.. you just posted your first ‘episode’ and then you edit your post and just throw in a link to ‘another recording’ without properly explaining what it is? The word ‘Professionalism’ is obviously not in your vocabulary.

Before I get on to the critique of the actual episode(s); Now you would think that a big site like Zybez, would have no problem hosting a podcast of relatively small file size on their servers, giving their members a place where they can easily download it. But again.. No, both editions of their ‘podcast’ (and I use the term as loosely as is possible) are uploaded on some crappy free uploading site, which I am currently getting an amazing download rate of 14 KB/S, not only that, the site is plastered with Ads which read ‘free porn videos’, charming. I’m sure I speak for Shane as well when I say that I would rather die than see RSBANDBUpdate! distributed on such a site.

Now on to the critique of the 3 minute recording. First off, rather obviously, you posted it as the first episode of your podcast, and it took you 4 months to put that together? 4 months? I could get Shane on skype and we could do something better in 10 minutes with no planning or scripting. That’s how pathetic it is.

There are 3 hosts, none of whom speak clearly, you don’t introduce the podcast, you just go straight in to talking about some topic which I could barely understand, and when you switch topics, there is no real announcement of segment change, you don’t even wrap up the current topic, you just move on to the next. Also, the majority of the things you talk about are on your forums? You don’t need a podcast to tell people what’s going on in the forums, they can just read them. In short; It was shambolic, and I won’t have any of this “It was there first try” crap. Go back and listen to the first ever RSBANDBUpdate! with Shane and Pika, sure they sound nervous and awkward, but it isn’t 3 minutes long and they speak clearly and the segments are easily defined. If that is the best you can do after 4 months, even if it is your ‘first try’, quit now.

Ok, so now we have the other recording. With totally different people, Well there’s some great organization going on behind the scenes here (SARCASM) This one is a little better and much longer, but it still seems like they have little clue of what they’re talking about. There are gaps between the speech where people wait for others to talk, and at other times they interrupt each other frequently, and one of them is breathing heavily in to the microphone, again making it hard to understand. The show lacks total structure, and about 5 minutes in one of them says ‘a few days ago was april fools’.. What the fuck? If this was recorded in April why the hell hasn’t it been put out for 4 months?

In short, the whole organization of this is a total shambles, they put out two differnt recordings with no proper explination, neither of the two recordings are articulate, and one of them was recorded back in April? It’s all so pathetic it isn’t even funny.

Must. Try. Harder.
