Show Some Dam Consistency

The weather at the moment is really pissing me off.

Monday, it was freezing, I was out of the house at 7:30am and was wrapped up in a sweater, and my big overcoat as well as gloves and a scarf and I still froze my ass off for the 20 minute ride on the bus. In the classrooms at college, it was cold, and it’s meant to be a new building. Monday night I went to a fireworks display at my Auntie and Uncles, again freezing, although It did warm me up slightly when I burnt my thumb lighting the fireworks.

Tuesday, up and out early again, wrapped up in my coat, scarf and gloves again, walked out of the front door.. Holy Shit, it was like summer. It was so mild. I shrugged it off at first, but walked about 10 minutes up the road and had to turn back to take my coat, gloves and scarf back. It was warm the entire day, almost uncomfortably so, tailed off a little in the evening, but that’s to be expected.

Today (Wednesday) Deathly cold again, no lessons until after midday. But I was still in Gloucester early, and walking through the city center my hands felt numb. Spent several hours at a friends house, and upon leaving there, It was like I’d hibernated through all the winter months. It was like summer again, sun was out, and the air was stuffy. Fuck this. I had to ditch my coat and sweater at my friends while I went to lessons, and in the lab I almost passed out from heat exhaustion, because apparently, the teacher can’t open the windows because she ‘doesn’t have the key’.

If there is a god; sort the weather out, it isn’t funny. You bastard.

  1. You lived in Germany too long, Brad. This is what English weather is like.

    Get used to it.

  2. Uber polite, Matthew. Can’t even use a “please” in there and make it sound like you’re nice rather than an asshole?

As far as weather goes for us americanoes, it’s naturally freezing outside in the morning, naturally freezing in the night, and somewhat okay in between.

  3. Haa. Welcome to England.
    Expect a Tsunami tomorrow.

  4. Ah, the joys of living abroad.

English weather is crap. Get over it.

  5. Even more. Can’t even begin to think where all the politeness in the world dissipated to.
