Freedom Of Speech Makes You A Pedophile? Good Job Australia (P.S, Your Censorship sucks)
Now this is something I saw on Digg last week. Why it took me this long to slap up a blog post slagging off the country I hate most, when this is crap is gold dust, I don’t know. But it’s here now.
I wasn’t exactly aware of this. But the new Australian PM Kevin Rudd (likes visiting New York strip clubs while on United Nations business) has imposed censorship restrictions on parts of the Australian internet. Even though the article says:

So first off, good job (/SARCASM), you try and impose restrictions, and you can’t even do that right. And when your government gets criticized for the censorship (not the shoddy I.T work) your communications minister replies with the following statement.
“Labor makes no apologies to those who argue that any regulation of the internet is like going down the Chinese road,” [Telecommunications Minister Stephen] Conroy said yesterday. “If people equate freedom of speech with watching child pornography, then the Rudd Labor Government is going to disagree.”
WTF? I know this isn’t the intent of this retard’s words but the wording makes it inescapable. I BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF SPEECH THEREFORE I WATCH KIDDIE PORN? Asshole. It’s obvious whoever put this out (and whoever subsequently proof read it) has no literary education past the most basic level (Yay! Australian education rules) and almost no understanding of the most basic mechanics of the English language.

Australia has always had huge problems with their internet; whether it’s their unbelievably high-priced/low-quality ISPs or crappy idea of “new” infrastructure to stop “pedophiles”.
This is another ploy to pass legislation that restricts everyday people by striking the fear nerve with the whole “If you’re not with us, you’re against us [or a pedo]“.
It’d be sad to see this happen to Australia either way. The internet should have zero regulation. The government needs to realise that, yes, there are things that even they can’t control.

Why the fuck do you care so much about our country? You obviously hate the way our country is run, and hate most of the people that live here. Shit, I wouldnt’ be surprised if you hated me just because I live where I do. So why the hell do you have to talk about us so fucking much? The censorship in Australia has really gotten insane recently. They’re the ones who were trying to discourage mall-Santas from saying “ho-ho-ho!” because it was offensive to “some American women”.
I’m sorry, but no in the U.S. pays all that much attention to Australia, the media just ignores you guys.So your Santas could go around saying “Merry Christmas and fuck America!” and I doubt it’d cause much of a stir.

I think that “Conroy” was saying “Comparing freedom of speech to freedom to watch child porn is ridiculous”.
Happens in Britain, BT does it. That I’m sure of. It’s really no big deal and I don’t see why such a fuss is being made over it.

I was having a go at the guy for his wording. People were complaining about the Australian governments plans to censor the net, comparing them to the Chinese. And they suddenly come out with that retarded statement about freedom of speech and kiddie porn. Obviously trying to accuse people who were against the net censorship of linking kiddie porn with freedom of speech. Hence my statement ‘I believe in freedom of speech therefore I watch Kiddie Porn?’. That’s what the Conroy guy basically said. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he’d worded it badly, rather than believing the Rudd Labour Government actually believes that, they’re stupid. But I don’t think anyone capable of winning an election can be that stupid.
Granted I didn’t explain that, but as with most things on here it’s not so much a well-structured-retort more a bashing of Australia with the facts I had to hand.

Just to close this off; Yes I do know Australians. Both in real life and online. And I’m not disputing that most of them are decent people. I’ve also visited Australia, and parts of it are very beautiful. But the majority of the Australian people I’ve seen and come in to contact with have been idiotic and morose in nature, and your politicians seem worse than the average, whenever I hear Australia on the news, its always for bad reasons. I saw an article just before Christmas about how Australian girls as young as 14 prostitute themselves for beer? How fucking sad is that.
And from all these blog posts I’ve written airing my opinion on Australia, I’ve just got a tirade of idiotic, senseless drivel akin to OMG AUSTRALIA RULEZ U FAG. Which just proves my point.
