‘Beanz’

Now I don’t eat baked beans often, I’ve always considered them somewhat of a breakfast/lunch food, and I rarely eat either of those. But while rummaging through my friends cupboards the other day (Innuendo!) I happened to come across a tin that said ‘Heinz Beanz’ on it. Wtf? Since when did they replace beans with beanz? Replacing ‘Ss’ with ‘Zs’ is fucking retarded on any word. My friend pointed out it may well be because Heinz ends in a Z and it has a more rhythmic sound to it. Regardless, it was probably changed to try and make them ‘cool’ and appeal to younger people.

Now one; the whole concept of making baked beans ‘cool’ is retarded. I don’t know anybody who eats a food because it’s considered ‘cool’ and I don’t think anyone with two brain cells does. I eat a food because it fucking tastes good. And secondly; how many teenagers and young people do the shopping in their house? Exactly.

  1. Their slogan was “Beanz Meanz Heinz” I think.

    Sounds stupid I think.

Slogans and deliberate spelling errors like S’s switched with Z’s are unnecessary.

  2. Uh… I said “I think” twice.

    What a dink.

  3. Because being the Killerz is like so fucking awesome.

  4. Like Ales, I’d say that it was because their slogan was “Beans Meanz Heinz”. But whatever.

  5. … right. Well they could keep their slogan without changing the S’s for Z’s and it’d still sound decent. They haven’t always spelt it as ‘beanz’. Christ you’re an idiot.

  6. KILLER BEAN FOREVER.

  7. Brad, were you looking for work at the BBC? O.o http://nothired.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/bbc_skank_ho.gif

  8. wtf XD? Why does the signature say Hilary Oliver yet the printed name say Sandra Hahn? (I also realize it’s sad that’s the first thing I noticed about it). Can’t imagine there’s many BBC jobs about in Gloucester anyway. More like jobs at crappy retail stores.

  9. p.p means “on behalf of”

  10. :$ Didn’t see that first time.

  11. It bothers me when people say “Kool.”
Sure, it was neat when I was like, nine years old, but now it just makes me mad. :(

  12. I find it somewhat funny how easily the word “fucking” can be slipped in with the words “tastes good” in the same sentence.
